My name is Ross Phillips I have been training in kickboxing and boxing for over ten years now and fighting for over 7 years most of those in Professional fights . I have learnt and experienced so much during this time I am now at a point where I am keen to share my accumulated knowledge of these sports and general boxing fitness techniques with others.
I have spent a lot of time behind the scenes at a number of fight shows and in the fighters corner. This includes helping to warm up the fighters before they fight and helping them prepare mentally for the fight ahead. Some of these experiences were gained assisting key figures in the world of kickboxing, including the Men’s World Champion Kickboxer John Orchard, and the Women’s World Champion Kickboxer Natalie Bee. I have also worked alongside promoter and head corner man Carl Sams.
All of this practical work has built on my own experiences of fighting against world and British champions, ultimately providing me with a very extensive knowledge base to become a proficient coach.
The Gym
I offer one on one session or two on one sessions.
I work out of my gym at home, which is fully equipped for boxing training and fitness work outs.
I have full insurance to teach from home.
The equipment at my home gym includes:

- All other boxing and fitness coaching aids
- Music (you can bring your own MP3 player when training)

- Olympic squat rack and bench press
I can also be found teaching Kickboxing class’s at the David Lloyd Gym on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Nutrition
Everybody needs the right nutrition whether they are involved in a training programme or not.
When you start training harder you may need advice on changing your diet and nutritional needs. I know I did regularly when I was fight training and still follow this healthy eating pattern now.
I work very closely with Victor Wyle, owner of Advanced Chiropractor and Nutritionist.
I use Victor for all my fighting related injuries and for nutritional advice and found him to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
He always advised me on the right way to get my body working most effectively throughout my training so I could compete at my very best.
I now take his advice as a coach so my students can also gain from his knowledge and experience.
